I run the program and see the Storyboarder Pro Editor toolbar and the Storyboarder Pro menu, but when I click a button or a menu item, nothing happens.
This is typically the case when your version of MS Word is 2003 Standard Edition, whereas the minimal required version is 2003 Professional Edition, or higher.
In this situation you can consider upgrading to MS Office 2007, see office.microsoft.com
Select the About command in the Help menu of Word. The window that appears is shown on the screenshot below.
The edition of Word is displayed in the second line (highlighted with orange). The minimal required to run Storyboarder Pro is Professional Edition (Standard Edition will not do).
If you plan to upgrade your Microsoft Office, the best way to go is to get Office 2007 (any edition will work with Storyboarder Pro). The upgrade to Word 2003 Professional Edition is no longer supported by Microsoft. Here's the official website of Microsoft Office.
